I am a member of the Church of Christ. I enjoy attending worship services, studying the Bible, listening to gospel music, listening to old school Soul music, walking on trails, reading, working on computers, playing games, listening to soft music, and working puzzles.
I received my BSE and MEd from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. I am National Board Certified in the area of Middle Childhood Generalist. I am a licensed educator in the following areas: Early Childhood Education PK-4, Elementary K-6, ESL PK-8, and ESL 7-12.
I became an educator in 1984. I have enjoyed professional memberships in NEA, AEA, FEA, AAML, NCSM, NCTM, and ACTM. I am currently serving on the Executive Board of ACTM, and on the Board of Directors of NCTM.
My two favorite mottos are: ONLY YOUR BEST IS GOOD ENOUGH! And WHETHER YOU THINK YOU CAN OR YOU THINK YOU CAN’T, YOU’RE RIGHT!
