Abstract:
The Center for Improved Engineering and Science Education (CIESE) at Stevens Institute of Technology helps mathematics teachers—including secondary school teachers—integrate and implement engaging and innovative collaborative lessons into their curriculum to illustrate complex mathematics concepts. CIESE, based in Hoboken, New Jersey, has developed online projects that not only incorporate complex mathematics concepts taught in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry but also link students with their peers around the world.
